Worm Raid — Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account data (optional). Playing as a guest requires no account. If you create one, we collect your email address, a password (stored by Amazon Cognito — we never see it), and the gamertag you choose. Signing in with Apple or Google shares your email (or Apple's private relay address) with us.
- Profile extras (optional). A display name and social media handles, only if you choose to add them.
- Gameplay data. A randomly generated player identifier, scores, XP, match statistics, in-game coin balance and purchase history of virtual items, and friend connections you make by Player ID.
- Advertising identifiers. The mobile apps show optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob, which may process your device's advertising identifier subject to your consent choices. See Google's advertising policy.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or health data, and we never sell personal information.
How we use it
- To run the game: matchmaking, leaderboards, saving your progress and purchases across devices.
- To let you connect with friends you invite by Player ID or email.
- To show optional rewarded ads (mobile apps only) — ads are never required to play.
- To prevent cheating and abuse.
Who we share it with
- Amazon Web Services — hosting, authentication (Cognito), and data storage.
- Google AdMob — ad serving in the mobile apps, under your consent settings.
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics on the wormraid.com website (page views, device type, country). See Google's privacy policy.
- Apple / Google — only when you choose to sign in with them.
Other players can see your gamertag, scores, and leaderboard placement. Your email is never shown to other players.
Data retention & deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from My Profile → Delete Account in the game. This removes your profile, email, gamertag, social links, friend connections, and sign-in credentials from our systems. Anonymous gameplay statistics not linked to any account may be retained.
You can also request deletion by emailing wes@bytebunny.io.
Children
Worm Raid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Use the in-app deletion flow or email us to exercise these rights. We do not discriminate against you for doing so.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the effective date above.
